Introduction:
1. In this article we will explore whether Windows can or cannot boot up with the folder Program Files x86 completely deleted
In order to delete this folder, we booted into the system using Hiren's BootCD PE (https://www.hirensbootcd.org/) since this folder cannot be deleted fully from within Windows.


2. First, we locate the folder which resides in C:\’s root
3. Delete the folder

4. Restart HBCD

5. Windows starts normally.



6. As you can see, the Program Files x86 is not there, yet Windows still runs

a. This installation of windows is a clean installation; therefore it means that there were no pre-installed dependencies into the Program Files x86 folder.
